Factorisation may be a topic taught in Year 9, but it is still surprising to teachers and markers just how many students struggle with basic two or three-step factorisations.
But there’s a simple solution to this… cover the most difficult HSC questions. If you’re able to complete these then you should find little trouble with any other question you can encounter. These are illustrated below.
Also, memorise the cubic factorisation formulas. These are essential and won’t be given to you.
